Piccadilly man facing drug charges

A 49-year-old man from Piccadilly is facing two drug-related charges.

The Bay St. George RCMP executed at Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in that community on Nov. 26. Inside the residence, police say they located approximately one pound of marijuana.

The man has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana less than 30 grams.

The accused will appear in court in Stephenville on Jan. 31, 2011.
