Residents of Stephenville Crossing gathered at the town fire hall on Feb. 17 to launch Winter Carnival 2011. The carnival flame was lit and there was plenty of hot chocolate and cake to be enjoyed. Fireworks followed the opening ceremony. Other events scheduled during the four-day festival include bingo, dances, community breakfast, fishing derby and senior's social.
