Some people got up to dance while others sat and tapped their toes or swayed in time with the music. Regardless of how they expressed themselves, everybody looked to be having a wonderful time.
The Port au Port Peninsula's annual bilingual folk festival took place this year in Cape St. George from Aug. 6 to 7.
The Georgian joined several hundred people on the festival's second day to be entertained by a variety of performers. Gervis Robia, Arsene Felix and Wilson Chaisson performed as a trio early in the afternoon. Clarence Felix and Tony Cornect also joined Gervis and Arsene onstage for a few tunes. Mark and Jaden Cormier performed together. They were followed up by Chloe Briand, who was also joined by Mark onstage.
Other performances during the two-day event included a drumming circle, traditional square dance and the bands Second Time Around and Dreamcatcher.
