Next week's Georgian will commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's 60th anniversary as head of the United Kingdom, Canada and 14 other Commonwealth realms.

We're  inviting readers to share their cheerful memories and thoughts of the Queen and her six-decade reign.

Perhaps you caught a glimpse of her during one of her two visits to Bay St. George - in 1959 and 1978. Maybe you saw (or even met) her during another royal visit to Canada or the Commonwealth.

Possibly you've been watching her on television and reading about her in book and magazines over the decades - or perhaps you've only been familiar with the Royal Family since the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Whatever you'd like to share - we want to hear from you.

Every person that contributes will have their name entered for a royal-themed gift set. This includes English breakfast tea bags in a tin commemorating the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, a set of playing cards embossed with the Queen's image, a tin of biscuits, a box of cordial cherries, a copy of the children's book "Forget-Me-Not" by Maxine Trottier, a copy of "Newfoundland and Labrador Book of Musts" by Janice Wells, a copy of "Ghosts and Oddities" by Jack Fitzgerald, a copy of "Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Fun Vacation Guide" from TC Media, a bar of English lavender soap and two limited-edition Georgian anniversary tote bags. There are even three crowns included to help you celebrate the jubilee.

Please be sure to include your full name and contact information when contacting us at the Georgian. Submissions can be emailed to editor thegeorgian.ca, or dropped off to the Georgian office at 43 Main St. (across from Domino's) in Stephenville. You can also call 643-4531 and ask to speak with the editor.

All submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2012. We look forward to hearing from you!
