Dart team wins provincial championships

They took a beating, but came out victorious.

A team representing Bay St. George won the Provincial Men’s A Division Championship in Plum Point on March 26.

The team, based out of Lourdes, finished first overall in the round robin and pulled out a dramatic win versus the home team representing Northern.

The Bay St. George team was down 4-2 in the best of nine final but rallied to take three straight and stake claim to the 2011 provincial title.

There were 14 teams representing various regions of Newfoundland and Labrador.
