Brian Dunphy wins Snowy Owl Classic

Brian Dunphy scored first place at this year's Snowy Owl Classic.

Whaleback Nordic Ski Club hosted their annual Snowy Owl Classic on Jan. 30.

The event promoted healthy hearts and also raised funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. It was open to the general public and everyone registering was placed on a team.

It was a close race to the finish. Brian Dunphy finished in the top spot with a time of 34:11. His son, Luke Dunphy, placed second with a time of 34:22. Jillian Forsey finished third with a time of 34:23. Paul Boland placed fourth at 34:24.
